' Development of a new concept of incubators for broiler eggs '
Project description and tasks: By using the knowledge of the environmental requirements of chicken embryos during incubation, combined with heat transfer knowledge, the aim of this job is to come up with a new concept of incubation technology. To come to this point, a virtual egg might help the simulation of several concepts. Tasks include computer simulation of incubator environments with CFD tools (Fluent), and also experimental validation of prototypes. This job is in close collaboration with an industrial partner.
Requirements: He/She must have a master’s degree (mechanical engineering, civil engineering, bio-engineering, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, or another relevant field). He/She must be able to speak and write English fluently. Experience with Fluent and Gambit is obligatory. Working knowledge of the MATLAB programming environment is an advantage.
