The candidate will leverage their creativity and expertise choosing their own focus from a number of ongoing projects including discovery of new drugs in HIV, identifying factors and timing of stem cell differentiation, and a program that uses database mining to create new hypotheses about the cause of any human disease. Job duties: management of MySQL relational database (partitions, optimization, privileges, hardware, custom queries, parsing data, subversion), training and oversight of student programmers, assist with preparation of manuscripts and grant applications.

Requirements: B.S.and Ph.D degree in bioinformatics, computer science or related field, or equivalent commercial experience, 1 year experience with MySQL. Programming in JAVA and experience with Bioinformatics is desirable.
