| Job Title: | Postdoctoral Appointee |
| Description: |
The Chemical Sciences and Engineering Division has post-doctoral positions available in interdisciplinary DOE-sponsored research programs associated solar photochemistry programs in the Division and with the Argonne Northwestern Solar Energy (ANSER) Center, investigating fundamental mechanisms for solar energy conversion in bio-inspired molecular materials designed for solar-driven fuels production. The research program highlights the synthesis of materials designed to couple light-harvesting with chemical fuels catalysis, and the characterization of light-driven reaction pathways and structural dynamics in these new materials using ultrafast transient optical spectroscopy combined with newly developed techniques for time-resolved X-ray scattering and spectroscopy analyses at the Advanced Photon Source. Applicants must have recently received a Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, or related discipline, with relevant experience among the areas of organic/inorganic syntheses, time-resolved laser spectroscopy, or x-ray scattering/spectroscopy analyses.
