Description:

Postdoctoral positions are immediately available for candidates with interest in developmental biology and cancer. The focus of the lab is on the factors that mediate inductive signaling and cell specification of metanephric progenitors and their possible involvement in the pathogenesis of pediatric Wilms tumor, using murine transgenic models.

A strong background in molecular biology, cellular biology, or imaging technology with some experience in genetics and embryology is required. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. and/or an M.D. and have less than five years' postdoctoral experience in a related field. The Laboratory is located at the National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Frederick, Frederick, MD and is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), NCI, Center for Cancer Research (CCR).

The National Cancer Institute coordinates the National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients.
