Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group): * This candidate will conduct research and development of drug pharmacology, with an emphasis on animal models and cancer biology. The candidate will provide his/her state-of -the-art knowledge in vivo pharmacology to critically design experiments and analyze and interpret experimental data to aid the design of new assays and chemicals. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, be a quick learner and be willing to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high technology environment.
Day to Day Responsibilities: * Apply published scientific data to projects at hand * Design and conduct critical experiments * Analyze, interpret and present the data * Responsible for working with research teams to assess in vivo drug pharmacology and clinical cancer biology * Optimize and validate assay protocols
* Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Qualifications
Required Skills (These are skills that candidates must possess) * PhD in cell biology and/or pharmacology with at least 2 years post-doctoral experience. * Experience in cell culture, cell assays, and animal models * Leading edge technical knowledge and skills in the field of in vivo pharmacology and/or cancer biology * Broad knowledge of current scientific literature, experience in practical application of published data to projects at hand * Deep knowledge of receptor biology, and signaling integration * Skilled in critical evaluation of the scientific literature in drug pharmacology * Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving skills coupled with sound judgment regarding experimental design and prosecution * Ability to make effective presentations and demonstrate critical analysis of data sets * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Experience in a collaborative environment or as a project team member * Sound systems biology and/or bio-statistics is a plus
Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration) * PhD in cell biology and/or pharmacology with at least 2 years post-doctoral experience.
