Description:

A Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with experience in fluorescent microscopy product development for a unique NPD role in rural Ohio.

Recently appearing in INC Magazine's 500 fastest growing US companies this biochemistry firm has acquired an excellent reputation for developing cellular and molecular diagnostic kits. Using fluorescent tagging technology, the company is evolving a prototype microscopy device which will reduce the time to diagnosis from 90-120 minutes to 4 minutes for eight respiratory viruses.

Reporting to the COO this role will lead and co-ordinate internal and external R&D stakeholders to create a patented product.

The following experience is required.

  • PhD or MSME/EE with 10 to 15 years manufacturing/engineering/product development experience; good familiarity with software applications.
  • Medical device experience required.
  • Experience with low light-level fluorescence microscopy strongly desired.
  • Experience in ISO 13485 quality management systems and in QSR (21CFR820) is strongly desired.
