Job Title: NRI Fellow
Description:

The American Enterprise Institute is currently seeking suitable candidates for the National Research Initiative fellowship program for the 2010-11 academic year. The NRI Fellowship is intended for recently minted Ph.D. and J.D.s who are interested in spending up to two postdoctoral years at AEI. Ph.D. candidates finishing their dissertation are also eligible.

NRI Fellows work in conjunction with AEI scholars to produce analysis of public policy, but are also expected to propose and advance their own research agendas. We are looking for students who study economics, political science, law or public policy. Applicants should demonstrate a research interest in U.S. domestic policy issues. Fellows will conduct original, empirical research and writing projects independently and in partnership with AEI scholars, and will be expected to produce a paper of publishable quality during their time at the Institute. Fellows are awarded generous stipends in amounts comparable to entry-level faculty positions within their disciplines. Along with financial support, recipients are given health insurance and other employee benefits, office space, and access to all AEI facilities.

To apply: More information about the fellowship and the application instructions can also be found on our website at: www.aei.org/nri. Applications must be received by December 4, 2009.  Questions should be directed to Emily Batman at nri@aei.org.
