Top Tier Investment bank seeks an experienced commodities controller

Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing support of the new product roll-out projects in the US
• Provide technical and valuation related support for commodity derivative transactions
• Perform analysis surrounding regulatory based requests
• Ensuring balance sheets for the businesses are correct through price testing, provisioning and control work.
• Responsible for responding to ad-hoc queries from the trading desk and other support areas, often requiring liaison with multiple departments.
• Providing management information to the Front Office and Product Control Management.
• Implement, maintain and enhance control processes surrounding the business.
• P&L commentaries

Requirements:

• 7 – 10 years risk / control experience within Commodities / Commodity Derivatives
• Must have experience of the Power & Gas and/or Energy Commodity markets
• Strong familiarity with valuation, reserving and accounting treatment of commodity derivatives
• Excellent product knowledge of Commodities, Forwards, Swaps & other Derivatives
• Broad experience with managing small teams
• Strong technical aptitude
• Knowledge of VBA, SQL, Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Accounting. Masters / CPA / CA preferred
