IMDEA Networks is a research Institute that is focused on the Future Wireless Internet, and in particular on the protocols, algorithms and systems that will enable it. We are offering a unique opportunity to apply now to join us as a Research Assistant, and to receive full funding throughout your Ph.D. at the University Carlos III of Madrid. The Ph.D. program starts in September/October 2010.  Research Assistants will be supervised by an expert tutor from either the NETCOM group within the Department of Telematics Engineering, or from IMDEA Networks, such as the world-renowned and award-winning scientists, Dr. Nick Maxemchuk, Dr. Marco Ajmone Marsan and Dr. Arturo Azcorra.

Applications are invited from graduates who meet the following requirements:

–    BSc, MSc or equivalent in Telematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field*

–    Excellent academic transcripts

–    Clearly defined Statement of Purpose for Masters/Ph.D. research thesis

–    Excellent level of spoken and written English

–    Highly motivated

* The University Carlos III of Madrid’s admissions office could require you to complete all or part of their Masters course as a condition of your admittance to the Ph.D. course (subject to your academic qualifications)
