The Wilhelm Reich Center is a newly launched educational endeavor designed to bring about a greater awareness and understanding of the ideas of the late Wilhelm Reich, M.D., a controversial figure who worked closely with Sigmund Freud but then broke from his established dogma to pursue his own ideas. One of Reich’s most important contributions was the development of a unique therapy, rooted in psychoanalysis, but very different. Although unknown to many, this therapy is still practiced today, in its original form, by a handful of psychiatrists and psychologists who were either trained by Reich or those who trained with him. |
