The Department of Biology in the College of Science and Technology invites applications for the position of Animal Physiologist at the Assistant Professor rank. Position Description. The position reports to the department chair. The successful candidate will contribute to the department by teaching courses at various levels (non-majors and majors). Teaching requirements will include comparative animal physiology. The 9-month appointment begins August 1, 2010, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and
experience. Screening of completed applications will begin November 1, 2009, and continue until the position is filled.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in the Biological Sciences by December 31, 2009, demonstrated excellence in research and the ability to attract extramural funding. Preference will be given to applicants whose research focuses on Integrative/Organismal Physiology.
