The role of ABC transporters in the development of multidrug resistance in cancer cells is being studied. Emphasis is upon the elucidation of the mechanism of action of the ABC transporters. Biochemical, molecular biological, biophysical, and pharmacological approaches are used.

Experience Required: Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D. and less than five years of postdoctoral experience. The salary and benefits are as per the NCI regulations commensurate with experience. Candidates should have research experience in molecular biology, some knowledge of biochemistry, and an interest in structure-function analysis of human disease-linked membrane proteins.

This position is subject to a background investigation.
