The Computer Vision Center (http://www.cvc.uab.es/) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona invites applications for one PhD student in the area of Object Recognition and Medical Imaging.

The approved candidates will be involved in an exciting Computer Vision project on novel advanced methods based on object and pattern recognition (multiple classifiers, mutual information, semi-supervised techniques, video analysis, etc.) and medical image processing (automatic segmentation, non-rigid registration and image enhancing methods). The project will be developed in a narrow collaboration with a major Hospital in Barcelona.

The laboratory is seeking a talented and motivated student with a strong background in mathematic, modelling, image analysis, object recognition and algorithmic willing to join our Team.

The research profile of the candidates should cover as much as possible:

- Programming experience in C++ and Matlab are compulsory.

- Written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Previous experience with Objective-C language would be highly appreciated.

The position is for one year, and renewed upon the student performance.
