New position in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology-Oncology. Focus on the role of the oncoprotein survivin in pediatric and adult malignancies. Join a lab group of 5 other people that includes one graduate student, 3 post-doctoral fellows,and a research associate. Brand new laboratory space on the Brown University campus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS useful for this position:
• Molecular biology: DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, RT-PCR, western blot
• Microbiology: Virus preparation, titration and infection.
• Cell biology: Cell culture
• Histology: animal tissue techniques including fixation, embedding, sectioning staining and cutting.
• Animal handling: Mice breeding and genotyping


BASIC Requirements-
Requires completion of a Ph.D. in biology (or equivalent).
Requires supervisory and administrative skills to direct students.
Requires the interpersonal skills to interface with laboratory members.
