Description:

A postdoctoral researcher position is available in the Immunotrafficking Laboratory directed by Professor Francis Lin at the University of Manitoba. The main goal of the lab is to achieve a quantitative and systematic understanding of immune cell trafficking in complex cellular microenvironments. Microfluidic devices, mathematical modeling, biology and immunology approaches are integrated in these studies. This postdoc researcher will develop novel microfluidic systems for various biological and medical applications.

Successful candidate for the position will have a Ph.D. in relevant disciplines. Previous experience in photolithography, soft-lithography, Labview programming, instrument control and setting up microfluidic systems is required. Experience in biological microscopy and mammalian cell culture is desirable. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated and to work effectively with our highly interdisciplinary research team. The candidate is also expected to significantly develop his/her expertise in biology and immunology through the postdoc training.
