Job Title: Head of European Trading (London)
Description:

Top-tier Proprietary trading firm engaged in high-frequency electronic trading of securities is seeking the Head of European Trading for their London office.
 
Candidate will be responsible for overseeing existing European operation as well as creating and executing a plan to grow the business. This person will be expected to create new revenue for the firm in the area of high-frequency algorithmic trading strategies on electronic exchanges and alternate venues across Europe.  Candidate will be expected to leverage technology infrastructure to grow the business.
 
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Clear vision of opportunity within European markets
    • First-hand industry experience in European electronic markets preferred
    • First-hand industry experience in high-frequency electronic trading preferred
  • Strong understanding of electronic execution and market micro-structure
  • Ability to effectively communicate with software developers, quantitative analysts, and quantitative traders
  • Strong project management skills across disciplines
    • Ability to break large projects into small incremental deliverables
  • Strong empirical skills and strong numerical background
  • Proven experience using technology to improve trading
  • Post-graduate level education and some programming expertise preferred
