The Earth Sciences Division is seeking applications for a Post Doctoral Fellow to develop methods to integrate geophysical, hydrogeological, and biogeochemical datasets for exploring processes associated with environmental remediation and water resources at the watershed scale.

The postdoctoral researcher will develop methods to integrate lab and field-scale geophysical, hydrological and biogeochemical datasets and to provide estimates of parameters controlling flow and transport processes. You will apply developed models to field data in support of environmental remediation and water resources projects, present your research at scientific conferences, and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, you will assist with proposal development and student training.

This position requires an outstanding record of original and high-quality research and demonstrated experience in subsurface characterization and monitoring using a geophysical datasets is required. Also essential are a Ph.D. in hydrological, geological, or geophysical sciences or engineering; a demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary research team; and good writing skills. A background in the use and application of geophysical methods for subsurface characterization and familiarization with stochastic integration techniques are desired.
