Job Title: Lung Cancer Stem Cell Project, Dr. Giuseppe Giaccone
Description:

Three postdoctoral fellowship positions are available in the Medical Oncology Branch at the NCI, under Dr. Giuseppe Giaccone, to work on molecular and cellular biology of lung and thymic malignancies. Projects involve identification and characterization of cancer stem cells, translational studies using patient tumors and molecular pharmacology. One of the main goals of the lab is the identification of novel druggable targets in lung cancer and thymomas.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree and less than five years' postdoctoral experience. Candidates should have a strong molecular biology background, basic research experience in biochemistry, cellular biology, and an interest in developing novel strategies for the treatment of lung carcinomas and thymomas.

This position is subject to a background investigation.
