The Department of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education invites nominations and applications for two positions as non-tenure track Instructors of Early Childhood Education.
First Position—Search #56676 Required Qualifications: . M.Ed. or higher in Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or closely related field by August 1, 2010. . Must have a minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in grades K-8 or comparable teaching experience in an Early Childhood teacher preparation program at the university level. . Experience in using technology in instruction. Preferred Qualifications: . Experience in teaching elementary school social studies or mathematics . Experience in university supervision of field experiences . Experience working with a diverse student body Second Position—Search #56698 Required Qualifications: . M.Ed. or higher in Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or closely related field by August 1, 2010. . Must have a minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in grades K-8 or comparable teaching experience in an Early Childhood or Special Education teacher program at the university level. . Academic preparation in Special Education at the Elementary School Level . Experience in using technology in instruction. Preferred Qualifications: . Experience in university supervision of field experiences. . Experience working with a diverse study body.
Screening of applications begins December 15, 2009, and continues until the positions are filled. The positions starting date is August 1, 2010.
