This position is part of the Equity and Derivatives Application Support group.
Provide systems support, administration, problem management, analysis, and implementation expertise for production applications for Middle-Office application.

Position Responsibilities
* Change management
o Schedule and track application changes and releases.
o Document specific procedures for implementation, error checking and fallback.
o Manage software and configuration changes on Test and Production environments.
* Implementation management.
o Make several daily modifications to support customer's business and technical specifications.
o Perform technical tests before changes are rolled out.
o Design implementation strategy.
o Deploy software and configuration changes on all Test environments.
o Perform implementation and integration of application software and hardware configuration changes.
o Create and execute test plans/scripts/cases based on technical and business requirements for trading applications and market operations support tools.
o Perform unit, acceptance, performance, capacity, regression and system failover testing on back-end components using manual and automated test procedures.
o Support scheduled weekend testing of Production level systems and applications.
o Test OS and layered product upgrades/patches
* Provide application and system support for several internal departments including EQD and PB Middle-Office
o Operations, QA, Product Management and Member Services.
o Provide application and environment administration of complex trading systems.
o Submit and track issues using Jira/Remedy to track and manage defects discovered during testing and application support.
o Troubleshoot and diagnose systems problems; install and configure fixes for applications running on OpenVMS, Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
o Troubleshoot trading issues by working with clients, vendors, and internal units including the QA, operations and market control teams.
o Analyze cause of production problems and develop methods for improvement.
o Provide Level II support to IT Operations.
o Emergency release handling.

Required Skills
* 1 to 3 years of application support experience in a trading floor
* Scripting experience ( Python, PERL)
* SQL (Oracle)
* Knowledge of basic network administration
* Technical testing and backend applications
* Project management process experience
* General understanding of capacity and performance management
* Change management and configuration management experience
* Strong team player, effective in communicating internationally, ability to work under pressure

Additional Skills (a plus)
* Knowledge of FO-MO-BO flows.
* Knowledge of Equity and Equity derivatives products.
* Methodologies and tools (Jira, MSProject*)
* MiddleWare (Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, MQSeries, Orbix)
* Java (notion), VBA

SALARIES ARE 85-130K + BONUS
