Special Research Fellow for the Research of “Mathematical Medicine Develops Tumor Growth Explications and Medical Technology Innovations” (Head Researcher: Dr. Takashi Suzuki, Osaka University), a part of the “Alliance for Breakthrough between Mathematics and Sciences (ABMS)” (Research Supervisor: Dr. Yasumasa Nishiura, Hokkaido University), in the CREST (Core Research for Evolutional Science and Technology) funded by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

2. Location: Division of Mathematical Science, Department of Systems Innovation, Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University, 1-3 Machikaneyamacho, Toyonaka, Osaka 560-8531, JAPAN
3. Contract: 30-40 hours per week. Contracts are of 12 month duration and are annually renewable. Contracts can be extended for 5 years.
4. Job Content: Clarify the mechanism of morbid cancer　growth through mathematical models, in particular, in cooperation with researchers from the field of molecular cell biology, top-down modeling, simulation and mathematical analysis of the early stages of invasion.
5. Closing Date for Applications: no later than December 5th, 2009.
6. The employment will start from January 1st, 2010, or as soon as possible.
7. Mandatory Requirements:
 Candidate should have research experience in mathematical modeling or nonlinear mathematical analysis. Candidate is expected to be proficient in computer programming.
 Candidate should be highly motivated and interested in mathematical medicine research.
