Description:

The Tumor Angiogenesis Section of the Mouse Cancer Genetics Program is now seeking highly motivated postdoctoral candidates for studies on tumor angiogenesis. The laboratory uses molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches combined with transgenic and knockout mouse models in order to understand the function of various tumor endothelial markers. The laboratory is particularly interested in translating new molecular information on angiogenesis into the development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics for cancer. Interested applicants must have prior publications in peer reviewed scientific journals and should be approaching completion of their degree or have a Ph.D. or M.D. with less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience. The National Cancer Institute coordinates the National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients. Specifically, the Institute:
