PhD position is available from 1 January 2010 in cooperation with the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Informatics in Debrecen, Hungary. The offer is for maximum 3 years, depending on a
successful performance review at 12 months.
Research/project topic:
The aim of the project is to develop mathematical algorithms and software for next-generation sequencing. The main task of the candidate will be to develop robust algorithms.
Selection criteria:
- Outstanding achievement in the applicant’s undergraduate degree level in bioinformatics,
computer science, or any discipline pertaining to bioinformatics.
- Language ability: very good knowledge of English.
- Programming abilities (preferably Java, C++, C#, Matlab, XML).
- Motivation to work with young researchers, PhD students and medical experts.
