Description:

The Experimental Neuroimaging Section in the Laboratory of Diagnostic Radiology Research is now seeking qualified Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. applicants for postdoctoral positions in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, MR microscopy, or optical imaging. Applicants should have background in imaging sciences. ENS continues to develop novel technologies in cellular and molecular imaging using contrast agents, and we are planning to translate research from experimental models to research for clinical trials. ENS current research interests are in pharmacological and cellular treatments for various central nervous system diseases, autoimmune diseases, angiogenesis, and malignancy. Examples of cell labeling for MR cellular imaging and monitoring the development of tumor neovasculature have been published (Blood 2004;104:1217, Blood 2005;105:420).

Applicants should have background in experimental disease models using magnetic resonance or optical imaging. Experience in MR microscopy and/or optical imaging would be ideal. The LDRR laboratory is equipped with a 3 T Philips research MR scanner and has access to 7 Tesla small animal units, ultrasound, optical imaging and microCT capabilities, and biology, chemistry, and tissue culture labs.
