The Decision and Information Sciences Division at Argonne National Laboratory has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Appointee who will work on the Exascale Agent-based Modeling System Project to develop a next generation agent-based modeling and simulation (ABMS) system explicitly focusing on exascale computing platforms. The candidate will develop, research, and apply extremely large-scale parallel and distributed simulation framework software and demonstration applications, distributed computing algorithms with a particular focus on simulation time scheduling algorithms and simulation data storage algorithms, compose journal articles and deliver conference papers for sponsor and professional peer groups. The successful candidate will have considerable knowledge in parallel and distributed software development and good knowledge of agent-based modeling and simulation. The candidate must have a PhD in Computer Science with a focus in high performance computing.
