Postdoctoral position in immunology/vascular biology

Description:
 A postdoctoral position is available to study the role of dendritic cells in regulating lymphoid tissue vascular growth and function.  Potential projects include 1) delineating dendritic cell-mesenchymal interactions that regulate vascular growth and function in immune-stimulated lymph nodes 2) examining the role of blood-borne cells in regulating dendritic cell-initiated lymph node vascular growth 3) examining the role of dendritic cells in lymphoid tissue vascular growth and function in models of chronic autoimmune disease.  Come join us as we uncover new mechanisms for vascular and immune regulation.  Please see website at:  http://www.hss.edu/research-staff_lu-theresa.asp.

The Lu Lab is located in the Hospital for Special Surgery, the rheumatology and orthopedic arm of Cornell's New York Hospital, and is part of Cornell Medical School's Department of Microbiology and Immunology.  The lab is also an integral part of Cornell's active Graduate Program in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis, and postdoctoral fellows are exposed to a rich training environment of graduate students, postdocs, and faculty from HSS, Cornell, and Sloan-Kettering.

About the Employer:

Hospital for Special Surgery is the Rheumatology and Orthopedic arm of Cornell's New York Hospital.  It is physically connected to the Cornell Medical School in New York City.  Faculty members have co-appointments at Hospital for Special Surgery as well as at the Medical School.  Faculty at HSS are an integral part of Cornell's graduate programs and the Tri-Institutional Cornell-Rockefeller-Sloan Kettering MD-PhD program.
