Appalachian State University has established an RN to BSN Nursing Program. Currently we deliver the program at four off-campus sites. Our intent is to develop a full four-year pre-licensure program on campus in the near future. This is a unique opportunity to participate in developing a new program in the rapidly growing health care corridor of Northwest North Carolina. A master's degree in nursing is required; an earned doctorate in nursing is preferred. Also, preferred is teaching experience in a baccalaureate program, and clinical expertise in at least one area. Licensure as a registered nurse in one of the three compact states of North Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia is required. Teaching at off campus sites or through web-based courses is to be expected.
