Hedge fund is looking to hire an object oriented applications developer to support the implementation of their high frequency trading strategies. Candidate should have 1+ years of experience in professional software development , including exposure to multi-threaded applications architecture and code optimization. Qualified candidates will come from the software industry, computational laboratories (biology, astrophysics, other data heavy fields) or quantitative hedge funds/prop desks. Candidates should be at an expert proficiency in either Java (Core) or C++ (STL) with an advanced degree in computer science or related field. Real world experience applying advanced techniques such as machine learning, data mining and markovian processes are a plus and will open doors to possibly more trading/research oriented role if desired.
