D-Wave Systems Inc. is seeking a machine learning researcher to develop and prototype supervised learning algorithms for image recognition and other problems. The successful candidate will develop algorithms leveraging a new high performance superconducting processor technology. The work will be carried out in collaboration with the machine vision group at Google.

 

Required Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in machine learning or equivalent experience
• Experience in optimization methods for both continuous and discrete problems
• Experience prototyping algorithms in C/C++, Matlab, Java, etc
• Up-to-date understanding of the latest machine learning approaches
• Strong mathematical foundations

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with each of the following:
•      supervised and semi-supervised learning
•      machine vision algorithms
• Experience solving real-world problems is highly desired
• Familiarity with Monte-Carlo methods
