Job Title: LCMS Product Specialist
Description:

In this Direct Sales role you will be responsible for driving sales of Agilent Technologies' recently introduced line of high performance LC/MS systems and solutions into Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis markets in various locations throughout the US. You will also team with Agilent Account Managers to drive LC/MS sales across multiple applications areas. You will carry quota and be compensated for all high performance LC/MS sales in the specified geography. You will be expected to develop and implement successful strategies and tactics to sell complex LC/MS based solutions. You will be one of an elite team of Specialists driving Agilent's success in this competitive marketplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows up qualified leads from Agilent Account Managers as well as identifies and develops prospects independently.
  • Sets sales strategy with Agilent Account Managers and Application Engineering team.
  • Identify correct solution and ensures customer demo from Applications Engineer. Works with the Territory Account Manager to close the sales opportunity.
  • Contact and maintain a relationship with the customer, present a possible LSCA solution, negotiate and close deal for qualified leads for large transactions.
  • Provide face-to-face selling presence when directed by Account Manager.
  • Utilize technical Applications Engineer resources appropriately
  • Conduct basic product demos and review data results where Applications Engineer is not needed.
  • Look for opportunities to cross-sell other products
  • Work with Field Selling Cost on development and implementation of key marketing programs
  • Utilize Customer Relation Management tools for effective account management.
  • Work with customers in developing purchase agreement and drive the closure of purchase agreement.
  • Identify and cultivate potential opportunity with existing and new buyers within existing and new accounts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strategic Selling Skills (Executive Selling, Solution Selling)3-5 years
  • High degree of LCMS application and platform domain competency
  • Strategic Selling Skills (Executive Selling, Solution Selling)3-5 years
  • LCMS Industry and Market Knowledge
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills as well as Interpersonal and Presentation Skills
  • Teaming/Collaboration Skills (resource mgmt. and team leadership)
  • B.S, M.S or PhD in Biology, Chemistry, or Molecular Biology.

Travel: 35% of the time
