The Department of Family & Consumer Sciences at Central Washington University is seeking candidates for a nine-month, tenure track, academic position at the Assistant Professor level to begin fall 2008. A summer contract for July-August 2008 is anticipated in order to participate in the Wine Quality Initiative. Summer contracts are anticipated in subsequent years to supervise interns and support industry workshops and seminars conducted through the Office of Continuing Education. Come join a supportive and committed group of faculty in launching an exciting new degree program.

Responsibilities: Develop and teach undergraduate courses in Global Wine Studies including courses in wine marketing and branding, wine analysis, international wine trade, wine regions, and viticulture and enology. Conduct research, publish, and participate in university committees and activities. Assist in managing the Wine Quality Initiative as well as conduct industry and consumer focused workshops and seminars coordinated through the Office of Continuing Education (summer contract).
