Qualifications/Requirements:
The Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics (APUA) is a global public health organization dedicated to improving antimicrobial access and use and controlling antimicrobial resistance. Founded in 1981 and located on the Tufts Medical School Campus in Boston, APUA conducts its public health research and education programs in conjunction with affiliated chapters in over 60 countries and leading national and international health organizations.

The APUA internship program offers students enjoyable and unique learning experiences. APUA will work with students to help meet school’s internship requirements. We have positions that are available in our Boston office.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Include general project administration; assistance with technical reports and policy briefs; compiling information and news; maintaining records and files; other administrative duties.

Minimum Requirement:

An investment of 20-30 hours per week is required for this 12-week internship program.

The primary requirement is that you have a commitment to make a measurable difference with your time and energy in the area of global health. There is always “grunt” work to do in any endeavor, but we want the vast majority of your time to be spent achieving goals agreed to prior to the beginning of your internship.

Salary:
APUA offers interns a stipend of $300/month. Other benefits such as health insurance or vacation time are not provided with the internship unless the intern is hired as a full-time employee.
