The Laboratory of Clinical and Translational Studies (LCTS) at the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is recruiting a physician to conduct research in the Section of Clinical Assessment and Treatment Evaluation (CATE). The Section conducts clinical research utilizing a 14 bed patient care unit located in the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center. The primary goal of this Section is to develop new pharmacological interventions that will enhance the treatment of alcoholism. This work is driven by the most recent findings from animal and human studies as well as the availability of appropriate pharmacological agents.
