| Job Title: | Functional Imaging In Alcoholism, Dr. Daniel Hommer |
| Description: |
The Section of Brain Electrophysiology and Imaging of the Laboratory of Clinical and Translational Studies (LCTS) at the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism NIAAA), a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to conduct functional magnetic imaging studies of motivation, emotion, neuroeconomics, or pharmacology related to alcoholism. The section is located within the Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center on the main NIH intramural campus in Bethesda, MD, an outstanding research environment with access to the extensive scanning resources of the NIH MRI Research Facility. Recently, our research has focused on using fMRI to explore how brain systems are involved in behavioral choice and emotion, as well as how brain systems are affected by alcohol and drugs that may potentially treat alcoholism (see, e.g., George et al. Science 2008, Gilman et al. J Neurosci 2008, Bjork et al. J Neurosci 2007). To apply: |
