Responsibilities for this role include reviewing linear products in one or more commodity portfolio to insure measurement at fair value. Additional responsibilities include: Proactive in evaluating the seasonableness of traders commodity marks; extensive documentation of marking and mark testing methodologies; develop and implement process efficiencies; providing technical expertise to analyze the commodity portfolio as well as specific transactions to determine if they are valued at fair market; articulate mark review standards and valuation policy. The successful candidate will have a BS/MS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related discipline. Prefer candidate to have 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industries with at least a year focusing on commodities. Will consider less experience if the candidates have some experience in natural gas, electricity, oil liquids and/or metals commodities. Candidates must be familiar with accounting guidelines and pronouncements, including FAS 157 (fair Value Measurement), FAS 133 and related pronouncements preferred. Previous controller experience or experience performing P&L and other accounting work preferred.
