Description:

Postdoctoral positions are available immediately for candidates with interests in signal transduction and/or molecular and cellular biology. Our laboratory's research is currently focused on: 1) mechanisms regulating Ras-dependent signal transduction, 2) oncogenesis mediated by activation of the Ras/Raf/ERK cascade, and 3) scaffolding proteins involved in the transmission of cellular signals, including those regulating cell survival, proliferation, differentiation, and oncogenic transformation. Approaches include molecular biology, mass spectrometry, biochemistry, and cell biology.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. Less than five years of postdoctoral experience is preferred.

This position is subject to a background investigation.

The National Cancer Institute coordinates the National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients. Specifically, the Institute:
