My clients are looking for an exceptionally bright candidate. You must come from a technical education, ideally in Mathematics, Financial Mathematics or Applied Physics to a PhD level. You should come from one of the worlds leading universities i.e Ivy League standard. You will have a proven academic track record with the highest grades from A-Level all the way through to your PhD.

Its important that you have a grasp and keen interest in finance. You must have studied and understood relevant financial texts. An internship in a financial setting would indicate your dedication to working in the Front Office.

You must have a good level of C++ programming capabilities. There will be NO EXCEPTION to this. You will be tested in your first round of interviews on C++ , basic financial concepts and mathematical based questions i.e differential equations, stochastic calculus, optimisation etc.

The job involves extensive interaction with all parts of the business: traders, sales, the front desk technology group, risk management, model validation, product control.

Located directly on the trading floor, in close proximity to traders, the quants team delivers models and pricing tools to the desks. The team also provides pricing and hedging assistance, as may be required at short notice, to support specific trades.
