The D. E. Shaw group seeks a talented entry-level generalist to help our External Affairs team manage the firm’s interactions with government, media, and industry trade groups.  The new associate will support the department and handle a variety of communications and government affairs-related tasks.  Candidates should have strong project management skills, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and extraordinary sensitivity to detail. No previous finance experience is required.  Associates gain exposure to many areas of the firm and are expected to assume additional responsibilities over time.
