Two NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are immediately available. Position 1: to study the regulation of adipokine expression/release as well as lipolysis/lipogenesis in human adipose tissue and a novel human adipocyte cell line LS14. Position 2: to examine the mechanism by which hormones (prolactin, estrogens and xenoestrogens) confer chemoresistance in breast cancer. A Ph.D in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell/cancer biology, and related areas is required. The laboratory is located in the outstanding Vontz Center for Molecular Studies at the University of Cincinnati. The center is part of a large medical center complex with superior research and transgenic animal facilities. Salary is commensurate with experience and according to NIH scale.
