Job Summary

The individual in this position must possess the ability to plan, organize, and effectively complete projects assigned by the Regional Manager. It is to be expected that there will be other related duties that may be assigned from time to time. This is a position to assist, on a first hand basis, the sales efforts in the region through better and timelier technical support. This person must be amenable to relocation, as positions become available around the region and or country.

Job Responsibilities

• Helping senior sales people to reach or exceed there assigned sales goals.
• Installing and familiarizing customers in the operation of the instruments.
• Assist in product training courses, demonstrations, and sales calls.
• Maintenance of the consignment inventory and the scheduling of this equipment for demonstration use.
• Required to attend trade shows and represent Shimadzu at local education seminars.
• Must travel overnight, as the position requires.
• Must travel by air and drive as required.

Education and/or Experience

A minimum of a BS degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required and at least two (2) years of laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation.

Knowledge Requirement

Incumbent should have knowledge of:

• Training Methods
• SSI Instrumentation/Chemistry/Laboratory Equipment
• Organizational skills/Customer relations
• Chromatography/Data processing
